According to data from the European Commission, textile consumption in the Old Continent has the fourth highest impact on the environment and climate change, after food, housing, and mobility.

Every year an average European citizen throws away 11 kg of textiles, less than 1% of used clothing is recycled and a large mass of clothing waste floods countries like Ghana.
